Been coming to Sumter for appointments over the last year and often come by for a bubble tea. Saw the rolled ice cream and thought how neat it would be to bring my young children and husband back for the experience. We finally made it for that purpose today! We got two rolled ice creams to share (the kids are young enough that this works still). We enjoyed watching the process but one of the ladies making one of them only managed to roll the ice cream tight enough to fit 4 rolls in the container while the other fit 5. They both measured out what they were using. I asked about what would be done with all the leftovers from the first one and she said they they throw it away. I asked if she could just give it to us (it was end of the day and just us present.) She said, “I could, but…” and then proceeds to walk it to the trashcan and throw it away. Considering that the second one made had 5 rolls and no leftovers I definitely feel as though they tossed 20% of what we paid for. Not to mention they knew we were planning to share with the kids. The only reason I wouldn’t leave a lower rating for this incident is that I know it may not be a reflection of the owner and I support small businesses!
The manager was a really friendly lady who helped us out when we had questions. The boba is also good, I’d say it’s the best boba spot in Sumter. The atmosphere is really friendly, if you decide to sit down they have little games you can play and cool trinkets you can buy.
Went here for the first time on my birthday. I love the inside and I just love boba Tea in general. I always leave 4 stars because there is always room for growth.
The owner of the store is so sweet we have met her a few times. But she isn’t there her employees behind the counter have horrible customer service! The two females looked mad, no one spoke when we came into the store. We didn’t even order our usual. We just got something small for our child and we didn’t want to spend our money where we don’t feel welcomed.
